“Singing was the one thing that helped Anna. But the rest of the children did not understand.”
I wrote Anna’s song when I was 19. When sending over the script I also sent a peice of demo art- which after seeing, they agreed to let me illustrate the book as well. Thus, Anna’s song became my first professional job as an illustrator.
It was an incredibly valuable and enlightening experience.
